She shares some fun facts about herself, talks about her role at 180 Medical, and tells us what she loves about working here.
Donna, tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m originally from North Carolina, but I’ve also lived in Alaska, California, Florida, and Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
I really value quality time with my family. My husband and I enjoy taking an annual beach vacation together.
I also love watching my son play football and basketball at school and spending time with my daughter.
My hobbies include making homemade truffles, baking, decorating, and refinishing furniture. These activities give me a creative outlet and bring me joy.
What is an average day like as a Verification Specialist at 180 Medical?
Each day, I focus on managing suspenses for our customers who are currently receiving Home Health Services. I coordinate with the Home Health team to ensure we have their dates of service and arrange for necessary supplies for each patient. Once a customer is discharged from Home Health, I request their discharge paperwork and follow up with them to help with their next supply order. It’s all about making sure they have what they need for a seamless transition.
What do you enjoy most about working at 180 Medical?
The most rewarding part of my job is making sure our customers feel calm and reassured about the continuity of their supplies. I love knowing that I’m helping them feel secure and supported.
180 Medical is also such a positive place to work. They really foster an inclusive environment for remote employees, which is amazing. I enjoy things like posting weekly goal shirt photos on Teams, receiving quarterly bonuses, and even gift cards when we meet our goals. Our monthly team meetings are also great for staying connected and motivated.
What’s something you love about the Verification Specialist team?
Our team has a strong dynamic. We start the day every morning with a check-in question, which helps us feel connected. We communicate via Teams throughout the day to offer support whenever needed. It’s a wonderful way to keep that team spirit going, even when we’re working from different locations.
Can you share a memorable experience where you feel you made a positive impact on a customer’s life?
Recently, I helped a customer who was planning a vacation and driving to California. She wouldn’t be home for her delivery, so I arranged for her monthly order to be sent to her vacation destination. She called me after receiving her order just to say thank you, and it was incredibly rewarding to know that my work had a direct impact on her peace of mind and convenience.
